Alumni Advisory Council
The alumni advisory council is comprised of 15 alumni from different graduation years and cities across the country. The council provides help, advice and support to the alumni office. The council also “brainstorms” ways to encourage and provide continued relationships with the college and other alumni. Members are involved throughout the year in specific areas listed below:

Alumni admission
Focus on admission programs and initiatives to involve alumni in the student recruitment process.
Alumni awards
Review the alumni awards process.
Development
Focus on alumni awareness of the Central Fund, Campaign for Central and the impact of each contribution.
Outreach
Focus on campus and community outreach from alumni.
Study abroad
Integrating alumni in the recruitment and marketing aspect of this wonderful opportunity for students.
Technology
Focus on updating features of the alumni community and the technology expectations of alums.
Annual meeting
The Alumni Advisory Council (AAC) held its seventh annual meeting on campus March 28-29. Presentations by President David Roe, Economics/Accounting/Management professors and students, the development office and a student panel were included. We also held breakout sessions allowing individual work groups to discuss current needs and provide feedback with staff members from the departments listed above.
How can you help us reach our goals?
We need you to take an active role in remaining current with Central College news and alumni happenings!
Ways to stay connected
Keep Central updated on your contact information and join over 4,800 alums by signing up for our alumni community. We aren’t able to improve our communications with you if we don’t know where to reach you. There have been many stories of old roommates reconnecting after many years. Take some time to look up an old friend.
Attend alumni events in your area and return to campus for Homecoming. Invite friends to meet you on campus.
Bookmark www.central.edu and check weekly for updated information.
Interested in career networking? Looking for a new career? Register for Central Connections and benefit from the experience of other alumni.
Let the admission office know about your high school babysitter, niece, neighbor or grandchild so they can be included in future mailings.
Homecoming/Family Weekend is Sept. 19 – 21 and I hope you are planning to attend. You can register online! Call your friends to make plans, book your hotel and register now.
Let me know if you have something for the AAC to discuss or address. I’ll be back on campus for Homecoming and hope to see you there!
