Helpful hints

Wondering what to wear?
We recommend professional/business attire. For women slacks or skirts. For men a shirt and tie or a nice sweater. Please bring your coats with you as we do have to walk across campus for the interview/essay/logic portion of the day.

Interview tips
We want to get to know you better ... and for you to get to know us too. Be prepared to talk about your background, your academic and extracurricular/community interests, and your interest in Central College. A faculty member and current student will ask questions. The interview takes 10-15 minutes.

Essay
The essay gives you a chance to be creative and express your ideas. You will be sent an article prior to your attendance at scholar day. Feel free to read and discuss the article with teachers, family, and/or other students before attending the scholars day. The essay question will be based on this article. You will have 40 minutes to write the essay.

Problem Solving/Logic Component
The logic component is designed to assess your overall analytical thinking. You will have 40 minutes to answer six logic questions.
