About the Director
A unique feature of each Central College Abroad program is the on-site program director. The on-site program director has a unique role, in that he/she is a part of most aspects of the students’ experience, from student advising to teaching a class to leading group excursions. Central College Abroad takes pride in the personalized attention that it can provide its students.
Ruth Verweijen, the on-site program director in Vienna, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about Vienna and all of Austria to the program. Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts from the Vienna Tourism College, her Master of Arts from the University of Vienna, and her Master of International and Intercultural Management from the School for International training. As the on-site program director, Ruth facilitates personal growth and learning by offering on-site support, academic advising and a complete on-site orientation to the host city and country.
