Summer Internship Program in London

In addition to Central College Abroad's traditional fall and spring internship programs, students have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in London during the summer. The internship program is geared toward undergraduate students and recent grads wishing to gain work experience in a dynamic, vibrant city.
We offer an extensive network of internship sites in wide variety of disciplines: art, business, politics, marketing, theatre, social services, and more. Take a look at some of the examples of past internship placements. Participants will get a taste of real-life work in a cosmopolitan European city.
All internship students stay in our central London residence, Vandon house, located only a two-minute walk from such attractions as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. James' Park and the Houses of Parliament. For more information email us at studyabroad@central.edu.

CRCL 790L - Aspects of UK Life 3 SH
This course is designed to help students examine and discuss their own experiences in Britain and discover the aspects of British life and culture that underlie them. Students will attend and participate in visits, excursions and lectures during orientation and throughout the program. To supplement these activities, students complete three London-based experience assignments, attend and participate in weekly seminars to discuss and share cross-cultural and working issues. A journal with regular entries recording cultural experiences and a final exam paper on the theme of personal growth and development as result of the London experience are required.
Internship 3 SH
In addition to the required Aspects of UK Life course, students in London work at an internship four days each week - earning 3 hours of credit.
Deadline for Applications: March 1. Space is limited. A completed application must include: application, essay, transcript, two faculty evaluation forms, dean of student life form, study abroad approval form, and two internship forms (internship application and internship details forms).
Program deposit of $500 is due March 15. Airfare is NOT included in program fee.
