In addition to the health and safety resources provided by Central College Abroad, on the Web site and in the Student Survival Guide, we encourage students and their families to consult other resources for further information about health and safety while abroad. These Web sites are particularly useful:
The U.S. Department of State has issued a travel warning to ensure safe travel in Mexico, pinpointing cities and regions cities in Mexico where unnecessary travel should be avoided. Central College Abroad’s program in Merida, Yucatan is located far from these areas. We have no plans to cancel or suspend upcoming programs. We continue to monitor the situation closely as part of our dedication to student safety abroad. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Merida, Mexico resident director, Valerie Grimsley at email@example.com.
