Recent excursions: Historical and cultural sites in Yucatan, including visits to Chichen Itza and surrounding colonial villages, and a five-day trip to the state of Chiapas.

Housing and meals: Live with other Central College Abroad students in Central’s house or choose a homestay option with a Mexican family. Most meals are provided.

Program dates: Fall semester, late August – early December. Spring semester, late January – early May.

Safety: Central College Abroad’s program in Merida is located far from the areas that the U.S. Department of State has pinpointed as cities and regions where unnecessary travel should be avoided.
