Academic Program
CCA optional courses offered in:
Internship or service-learning opportunity
(optional)
Students may enroll in a wide variety of semester courses following the orientation period and intensive Dutch course. All students are required to enroll in “The Netherlands and its European Context,” a three-credit course designed to assist students in their understanding of the Netherlands. The remainder of the schedule can be completed with courses selected from Central College offerings, Webster University or Leiden University offerings. An independent study option (subject to prior proposal and approval) or an internship placement may complement classroom work. Brief descriptions of Central College course offerings are given below. For more detailed course descriptions, please link to the Webster University and Leiden University course catalogues at www.webster.nl and international.leidenuniv.nl.
Course Load
Students enroll in 12-17 semester hours. Most courses carry three or four semester hours credit. The intensive Dutch course is counted as summer or January credit and may transfer as either a letter grade or pass/no record, on request of the student, prior to the beginning of the course.
