Internships/Service-Learning

A student with birds in ChinaStudents studying on the Hangzhou, China, program have several internship opportunities. Internships in the past have included placements in areas such as business, education, and art. Other internship areas are possible based on student interest and language level. All internships are for two semester hours of academic credit.

All Central College Abroad students have the opportunity to participate in an English as a Second Language internship with Chinese students at the university. The purpose is to provide a cultural exchange while practicing English language skills. Valuable cultural insight and friendships are gained through this experience. Students may earn two semester hours of credit. For those interested in working with children, ESL opportunities at the elementary school level may also be available.
