| This course is designed to give students a better understanding of France and French culture. Students will explore aspects of French history and contemporary issues. These topics are supplemented with readings, group discussions, journal writing, excursions and site visits to further examine what is learned in the classroom. Students work at service sites with native Parisians to insure integration opportunities. Taught in French with a tutorial in English for beginning level speakers. All Central College Abroad students are required to take Discovering Contemporary France in their first semester (Fall or Spring). The Paris program director will waive the requirement for year long-students in the spring semester. | |
