| Health care in Yucatan will examine the public and private healthcare systems of Mexico, prevailing health issues such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease, and various approaches to treatment including both via mainstream medicine and natural healing in urban and rural settings. An important component of developing cross cultural competency in healthcare comes from understanding the patients’ healthcare experiences and expectations from their cultural perspective. Taught in English.
