An overview of evolution as the unifying principle of the biological sciences, with coverage of the origins of evolutionary thought, population genetics and phylogenetics. Includes workshop activities on topics such as population genetics, morphometrics and phylogeny reconstruction as well as review of the primary literature. One two-hour discussion lab per week.
