This course will explore the development and practice of various religions and churches and their significance to the city of London in the modern era. The class will be topic-focused with special attention given to how the decline of the established Church of England has given rise to alternatives with the subsequent effects on society in terms of demographics, race relations, education, etc. Excursions to London temples, churches, and mosques are included.
