travel grant program

One of the benefits of being a member of our Cooperative Council is having access to our travel grant program.  Each year, members of our Cooperative Council are given the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 travel grant to visit one or more Central College Abroad programs.

Grant recipients pay for their travel expenses, submit receipts, and are reimbursed afterwards. Only transportation costs and hotel accommodations are eligible for reimbursement. Grant recipients are responsible for their own meals and miscellaneous expenses. Please make note of the following application criteria:

  • Study abroad advisors/coordinators or faculty who are directly involved in sending students on Central’s programs are eligible to apply.
  • The cooperating institution must not have received a grant within the last two years.
  • Grant recipients must submit a written report to Central College Abroad soon after their return (template will be provided to recipients).
  • Grant recipients must visit the programs between July 1 of the grant year and June 15 of the following year. Travel before or after this time period is not eligible for reimbursement.

Invitations for application are emailed to members of our Cooperative Council during the spring semester.
