Media Equipment & Supplies
The Media Center provides A-V equipment for class and academic use by
students and faculty. Equipment can be checked out for short periods of
time. A selection of A-V supplies is available for purchase.

Classrooms throughout campus house A-V equipment. Each classroom's inventory is different. Most centers
include an overhead projector, TV, VCR, DVD player,
and projection carts. Equipment can be found in the
following locations:

Faculty may check out equipment from
the Media Center for short-term
classroom use only. Prompt return is imperative for the system to work.
If equipment is in use and other equipment is not
conveniently located, call the Media Center at extension 5218 to have
equipment delivered. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours notice for
delivery.
If equipment malfunctions, call extension 5218. Help will be sent as
soon as possible.
Equipment for Use in the Media Center Only
- Video Editors (S-VHS and digital)
- PC and Mac Multimedia workstations, with digital scanners and
networked color printer
Van Emmerik Studio
The van Emmerik Studio in the Maytag Center is available for showing
videos to classes Mondays - Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m..
Reservations should be made through Campus Services (x.5189) or http://www.central.edu/reservations/
well in
advance.
Videos for entertainment showings need to be scheduled through CAB
(x.7610) and Swank Motion Pictures to assure copyright compliance.
Media Center Supplies
Blank audio and video tapes, batteries, roll paper, poster board,
transparencies, projection lamps, overhead pens, and other instructional supplies are
available from the Media Center.
Faculty may charge consumable items to a departmental budget.
Students and staff must pay at the time of purchase or charge their
account.
