Computer Modules

Computer modules are short mini-courses that provide a convenient way for students to acquire specific computing skills. Modules explore one computer topic at a time, and are taught as five-week sessions throughout the term. Modules focus on the correct use of the specific hardware and software available at Central, and on the types of assignments students are likely to see in other college courses.

Computer modules are offered in the College Division, and are numbered as follows:

Coll Div 111 -- Introduction to Computer Applications (Microsoft Office)

Coll Div 115 -- Introduction to Desktop Publishing (PageMaker)

Coll Div 116 -- Introduction to the Internet (E-mail, Lynx, Netscape, etc.)

Coll Div 118 -- Introduction to Electronic Presentations (PowerPoint)
