Downloading the AbstractAlgebra package

First, note that to use the AbstractAlgebra package requires that you have Mathematica installed. In order to download the packages, it is necessary that you register as an AbstractAlgebra user by filling out a form giving some basic information. You will be taken to this form when you choose "No" below. (You can find out why we do this, if you wish.)

Second, note that the downloading process uses a "cookie" to verify that one has properly registered; if you do not have cookies enabled, you will need to do so or contact us to make other arrangements. (You can find out more about cookies and why we do this, if you wish.)

After filling out the registration page, you will immediately be sent email (to the address that you provide). This message will contain a link that will take you to the download page. Instructions for downloading and installing the packages can be found there. You then have thirty (30) days to complete the download process. After that, the cookie will expire. (You can then come back here and choose "Yes" and you will be given another window of opportunity.)

A new and improved version that works very well with version 7 is now available. Added to the package are some other resources including AlgebraInvestigator and a new palette that incorporates all the palettes in one. If you are a version 6 user, everything in the version 7 package will work except the new palette; the palettes from version 6 are still needed. The download for version 6 retains the older palettes but includes the other features found in the version 7 package. Therefore, choose the version that you are currently using; you always come back for the upgrade at any time.

Have you registered before to download the AbstractAlgebra package? Choosing 'No' will take you to the registration page while 'Yes' will take you to a page where you submit your email. After verifying that you have already registered (via having collected an email), you will be sent additional instructions (to this submitted email). (Please don't answer 'Yes' unless you really have already registered or you will be wasting your time and ours.)
