Students Doing Interesting Things
Caroling, Angel Tree Kids and mission trip
Around 60 students joined Campus Ministries to sing Christmas carols around Pella Dec. 9. The group made stops at faculty members’ houses, Hilltop Manor and retired people’s homes spreading Christmas season cheer.

Dec. 7, 30 college students from Campus Ministries hosted over 60 Angel Tree Kids at Meredith Drive Reformed Church in Des Moines for their annual Christmas party. Gifts were given to all the kids, and supper was served. It was a fun night of games, mentoring and re-enacting the Christmas story.
Currently, seven students are signed up to join Campus Ministries on a mission trip to Malawi May 15-29, 2008, to help build a kitchen at an orphanage that houses children whose parents have died of AIDS. They are joining Reformed Church mission associates to assist in their work.

Iowa Events Center discounts
Central has teamed up with the Iowa Events Center to provide employees, students, staff and their families and friends discounts to various family shows and concerts at the Iowa Events Center. Currently discounted tickets are available for the Lipizzaner Stallions, Harlem Globetrotters, Iowa Stars Hockey and Monster Trucks. An e-mail was sent to all employees with detailed information. If you would like this information sent to you, contact Sharon Haning in human resources hanings@central.edu.
W-4
Certain circumstances require filing new W-4 forms. If the number of allowances an employee can claim decreases, a new W-4 must be filed within 10 days of the event. Such cases would be: divorces, death of a spouse and less dependents. A name change also requires a new W-4.
An employee may, but is not required to, file a new W-4 if the number of allowances that he or she can claim increases.
If you have questions, or wish to request a new W-4 form, lease call the payroll office at ext. 7690.
