Applicant Tracking System
The human resource office launched a new electronic application program. The provider of this software program is Interview Exchange. The program will allow all applicants to apply electronically to a specific open position, by submitting an application, a resume, cover letter and any other relevant attachments, through the college Web site. All application materials, for the specific open position, will be stored in an electronic file. The human resource office will be able to give the appropriate hiring supervisor and all search committee members access to the appropriate open position, thus eliminating the need to manually process, copy and distribute applicant material. This also will provide a more secure and efficient system for applicants to submit their information and for the human resource office to store all information electronically. Further updates on our progress and training for non-HR staff will be forthcoming. In order to utilize the system to its maximum, all applicants, whether external or internal, are strongly encouraged to utilize the electronic applicant system when applying for an open position.
Summer hours and attire
The summer office hours are in effect through Friday, Aug. 10. All offices, with a few exceptions, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In the judgment of the supervisor, hourly personnel may elect either a one-half or one-hour lunch period. Those individual offices advised to be open over the lunch hour will need to make the necessary adjustments.
