Tecwyn Vaughn Jones
Every Central College Abroad program boasts a resident director who plays a unique role in students' experience. Directors provide academic advising; teach a hands-on seminar, where students learn about the host city and then experience it first hand; and lead the cultural excursions connected to the seminar class. Central College Abroad takes pride in the personalized attention that it can provide its students.
Tecwyn Vaughn Jones, the resident director in Bangor, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about Welsh culture and the country of Wales. Tecwyn received a Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Bangor University where all Central College Abroad Wales students attend class. Tecwyn takes pride in teaching students Welsh folklore as they explore this beautiful country. As the resident director, he facilitates personal growth and learning by offering on-site support, academic advising and a complete on-site orientation to the host city and country.
On a personal note, Tecwyn enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and walking near his home in Blaunau Ffestiniog, a small slate mining town in the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains. He feels privileged to share the beauty of this region with students each semester.
