Bangor University has a variety of different clubs and activities to become involved in. The first couple weeks I was there I tried out about 10 different ones! There was always something to do and take part in.
Getting involved in campus life is the best way to meet other students and have an experience that goes beyond the classroom. All students on the Central College Abroad Bangor program are required to participate in a university club, society, musical ensemble or volunteer program*.
In recent semesters, students have participated in activities from football (soccer) league to the Bangor University Symphony Orchestra to Judo club. University clubs and societies include:
|American Football||Rugby League|
|Women’s Gaelic Football||Weightlifting|
|Afro-Caribbean Society||Herpetology Society||Horticultural Society|
|Amnesty Student Society||Historical Issues||Normal Site Society|
|English Drama Society|
|Forestry Society||Malaysian Society||Table Football Society|
|Gaming League||Medieval Society||Unity Bangor (LGBT)|
|Geographical Society||Methodist Society||Vietnamese Society|
|Guides & Scouts||Musical Theatre||War gaming & Role-Playing|
* A Tier 4 student visa is required for volunteering.
